Recent months were spent idling at home. November was another routine for me except that i went back for my 1st ever In-Camp-Training. Still, the two days of reservist training was yet another two days of slacking sessions for me. Passed my IPPT during ICT but i failed to achieve any $$$ incentives due to the standing board jump!! Minimum is 216 cm for $100 incentive. The distance between YQ and the $100 is 2 cm. OMG! How i wish i can jump far like a frog.

Sadly, he is neither a Prince charming nor a 青蛙王子.

Finally, I found myself a job!

Will be working at Suntec City Tower 5.

On the hindsight, this shall signal the end of my slacking lifestyle.

Night Safari.

Visit to Night Safari - Halloween 2009

The crowd was really awful.

We queued an hour just to purchase the entry tickets.

Plus another 20 mins to enter the Safari.

Plus yet another 40 mins to get onto the Train of Terror.

Boo..

However, we had good fun that night.

Brough the kids to Astons for dinner @ Sembawang Shopping Centre.

Went to the super crowded Safari.

Had Chong Pang Nasi Lemak for supper.

The kids must have enjoyed themselves.

October isn't really a good month for Liverpool FC.

YQ wore his first ever Liverpool jersey during the match against Man Utd.

We started the game as underdog.

But i felt damn proud when we won 2-0.

Torres was great!

All i hope for is for Liverpool FC to win the Premier League title!

Had an early dinner with Xiangying @ Cenele, Raffles City.

We knew that their cakes are famous.

But we are quite unsure of their main course.

We ordered their Red-wine beef stew and Seafood Baked Rice.

Amazingly, their food was so delectable!

The Baked rice was flavorsome!

Especially the top layer of cheese covering the seafoods & rice.

Wow. I will definitely try out their selections of baked rice on the next visit!

They celebrated my 24th birthday in advance.

The meal there was yummy!

Their cheese Katsu was great!

Service was totally awesome!

The Swissbake cake XY bought was mouthwatering!

The companion was divine.

It's always great to have them around.

Went singing after our meal.

Frog porridge for supper.

My September 2009

Tried the Hokkaido Ramen at the food hall located @ the basement of Ion.

The soup base tasted pretty good.

Ramen is nice too.

The staff will serve you with Green Tea when you enter the seating area.

The price you saw on the menu above exclude the GST and Service Charge.

So after adding the 0.17% charges,

Our bill came out to be $37 for two bowls of ramen + hokkaido corn.

I personally find it expensive, especially when you dine at the dining hall.

They should have learn more from Aston.

(Aston do not charge their customers service charge despite their good services!)

Watched Accident @ Lido with Xiangying.

Louis Koo & Richie Jen both starred in this so called thriller movie.

I find it extremely dull.

There wasn't any proper climax at all.

Disappointing!

Inglourious Basterds was a different story!

Starring Brad Pitt.

Over 150 mins of drama with plenty of dialogs.

The actor who played Nazi Colonel Hans Landa was impressive!

Observe the way he speaks. Awesome!

This movie isn't totally about Brad Pitt.

Spent a couple of minutes browsing through my old email account. It's currently being flooded with countless of friendster's messsages. Accidentally, i clicked on the link which sent me to the last page of the email account.

Dated from the Year 2002, those super oldies email messages still exist. However, certain relationships are gone and it's saddening that some people are not with us anymore. What's left behind are just memories and their messages.

In life,

We gain some.

YQ is glad that he passed all his 4 modules w/o messing around the danger zone.

34 is the passing mark for University of London's paper.

He has a total of 9 modules for his Economics & Management Degree.

Year 1 (2008) results:

PRINCIPLES OF ACCOUNTING: 50.
MACROECONOMICS: 48.
ORGANISATION THEORY: Failed Miserably.

Year 2 (2009) results:

Year 3 (2010):

Slight improvement and more consistency for the grades of his year 2 papers.
But he seem to be feeling sad with mixed feelings.
During year 1, YQ was so worried that he will fail 3 / 4 modules.
He managed to pass 3 / 4.
He felt relieved.

A year later, YQ is feeling more confident for his results except for ESAP.
Except for ESAP, he should be able to pass the remaining papers within the 40 range.
As for ESAP, a pass is all that he can wish for.

Results are out.
They are much better than what he have expected.
He achieved 3rd Class Honours. (as long as he can pass his remaining two modules.)

However, the chances of achieving 2nd Lower (Honours) is ultra slim.

MSM needs 53.

CF needs 53 too.

Bless him.

The whole precious weekend was spent lying on the bed..

Amy's 21st birthday party was on Friday night.

Saturday noon was suppose to be a KTV session with the polymates.

I attended none.

Hurt my lower back while having weekly football session on thursday night.

That was perhaps the worst injury i have had to date.

Sort of twisted my waist and hurt my backbone.

Couldn't sleep at all on that night.

Had difficulties moving around or even tossing myself on the bed.

Imagine spending over 5 mins to get myself out of my bed.

All that i can do is to lie flat on my bed.

So worried. Totally helpless.

The maximum angle that i can bend is less than 20 degree.

Went for physiotherapy on friday.

Back is still aching.

Able to walk now.

Road to 100% fitness should be long.

Some of the movies which YQ watched in the recent months are:

"UP"

"Where Got Ghosts?"

"Murderer"

"Ice Age (3D)"

"UP" is yet another excellent production by Disney Pixar.

The story is direct and simple.

Yet so heartwarming with funny dialogue.

Really transformed YQ into a small kid watching cartoon..

So happy and relaxed throughout the show..

The plot is easy to follow and i am sure 99/100 kids will enjoy the show..

Characters are adorable with the storyline well narrated within the 90+mins of show..

The beauty of Simplicity. Well Done!

"Where Got Ghost?" is something "fresh" when singlish met ghostly.

3 short stories..

Each with a message to convey to the audience..

Hit or miss, it's just separated by a thin line..

But i find it better if the producer didn't try so hard to include those messages..

Plain scary + funny moments are what the audience wanted.

"Murderer" is a mandarin movie by Aaron Kwok.

Ultra lame.

Lame plot.

Lame acting.

Lame show.

"Ice Age" is the 1st movie where YQ viewed on the 3D screen.

He fell asleep during the show.

Nothing much interest him except for a very small amount of funny moments.

Wearing the stupid 3D specs is not fun.

Just when i thought that the BPL match between Burnley v.s Man Utd was a sure-win game for Sir Alex Ferguson.

Those who had placed their bets on Man Utd win @ Singaporepools must be "burnt" badly, after narrowly avoiding a upset last saturday. (2-1 victory where D.Drogba scored on the 90th min.) The payout was just $1.07 for a chelsea win, which mean you win $7 for every bet of $100.

Surprises! The "bola" is always round. What hurt me most was the defeat which Liverpool FC suffered on the "opening weekend" of the 2009/10 BPL season. Felt really upset after the 2-1 defeat against Tottenham. The head-head record of Benitez v.s Harry Rednapp was amazing. Rednapp won plenty of matches against Benitez. In my own opinion, Ryan Babel doesn't have the quality to play for Liverpool FC. Removing him from the starting lineup was perhaps the best decision taken by manager, Rafael Benitez. Liverpool roared back with a 4-0 victory against Stoke City. =)

Below shall be some personal thoughts of mine for BPL 2009/10:

1. Man Utd will find it hard to retain the BPL title.

(After winning it for 3 consecutive season.)

2. Chelsea will be a very serious contender.

(With D.Drogba in "hot" form.)

3. Liverpool to continue working hard to win their 19th League title.

(Under the guidance of R.Benitez.)

(With Glen Johnson supporting down the right flank.)

(Removing R.Babel from their squad)

4. Arsenal to surprise many critics.

(As long as Arshavin stays fit & C.Fabregas staying loyal.)

5. Man City and Tottenham will be tough to beat.

6. Hull City & Portsmouth will struggle badly.

Well, i am definitely looking forward for this season to be a title-winning year for Liverpool FC once again, amid all the tough competitions from the rivals..

The teenager was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome.

An extremely rare condition leaving the baby with only "half a heart".

The doctors advised the parents to abort him.

The parents refused and they(doctors) gave the baby three days to live.

A chance at life for the unborn. 15-year of miracle.

The boy survived for 15 years.

Taking pride in whatever he does.

The whole family gathered around him as he died.

And he left peacefully in his mum's arm,

just like the way she held him when he first came to them.

Her family wanted the unborn child to have a name.

An identity, friends and Identity Card etc.. and the boy did got his IC.

Just last week. A week before he passed away.

I see Hope. Care. Love. Family. Courage. and Pride.

I believe that everyone who knows Andre will be proud of him for who he is.

A way to succeed in life is to take pride in whatever we do.

WELL well well..

It's e final day of exams for Yr2009.

But it's the same old feeling during the final paper once again.

Not good.

Not happy.

Feeling disappointed to a certain extent.

Last year, i sat for my first examinations.

The feeling was horrifying.

Out of 4 papers, i think i will pass only 1.

Depressive.

But i managed to scrape through it.

Out of 4 papers, i failed 1.

Moving on to a year later,

I am feeling not so positive.

Out of 4 papers, i think i will fail 1.

Hopefully i will be able to scrape through once again.

Don't shock me.

I have definitely put in much more effort towards the examinations this year.

But things are pretty unpredictable, especially when UOL exams are concerned.

Mentioning about surprises,

I have received a call from SPH this morning.

They informed me that my bid of $26,150 (TNP dollars) was the winning bid.

I have won 2 pairs of Star Cruise tickets to Redang Island /Malacca & KL.

Therefore, i will need to produce a total of $52,300 within 3 hours to redeem.

Thanks to mum, she managed to collect all in such a short period.

Woohoo! HOLIDAY to Redang Island!

Shortage of quality sleep and leisure time.

Yah!

Think i will be recalled back for reservist soon.

Boo!

YQ's first paper will be approaching in exactly one month time. But still, things are not looking good. Have to work 100x harder.

Occasionally, i have been pondering why on earth am i committing my resources on business studies at this period of time? Is the business world and biz studies still a niche market as compared to a decade ago? Well.. Perhaps 10/20 years ago, Information Communication and Engineering were perhaps the 'hottest' route for career seekers. Business studies such as Economics and Biz Managements were considered the niche area where only the minority population is able to take up..

When it comes to studying, i am the laziest of all.. The happenings/evolutions of the current world have seen huge changes in our daily life.. Business studies are no longer a niche area.. Everyone can pursue a higher qualification as long as they have the resources.

To me, a degree/qualification is just a stepping stone. It's still essential nevertheless.. Perhaps it's important if i am to pursue a job in the corporate world.. A job is still a job.. What are we going to pursue in this world is dependent on what is the ultimate objective in our life.. Economical issue? Well, i guess not much people will reject the idea of having more money inside their bank a/c? How about psychological factor? I am still trying to seek a balance between them..

YQ is a person who loves to work more than studying.. It's true that sometimes, work sucks.. But still, studying is a very boring process even thou we can slack as much as we want.. But ones must remember that there's still a trade-off in between.. The relationship between studying efforts and examination results are positive.. Slacking time and the exam results will usually show an inverse relationship..

How nice if i can be a chef..

But where on earth can i get myself a good master?

Have been going out for suppers after the managerial economic revision lectures for the past 1 week. All thanks to Pele for driving us out and sending us home.. Yesterday night was the last ME lesson that we have had in the night-time and we headed to Desker road for chicken and mutton masala + lots of naans.. The mutton masala is good.. The short visit to Mustafa was also nice with Jared buying a watch and Emily buying a bread toaster. Plenty of goodies over there. Shall find sometime to shop over at Mustafa when the time permits.

My papers will be from 14th May - 26th May 2009.

14th May: Managerial Economic.

19th May: Information System & Organization.

20th May: Organization Theory: An interdisciplinary approach.

26th May: Elements of Social & Applied Psychology.

Hopefully i can seriously concentrate on my studies for this 1.5 months which will be the most critical period. After which, YQ will be left with 2 final modules for the next semester.

Looking forward to either the Taiwan/Hong Kong trip if i do well for the exams!

Pray hard.

Dogs.

They can be a very nice and obedient pet for anyone in this world.

They will stay true to you as long as you are true to them.

Whether you're rich, poor, beautiful or ugly, it doesn't matter to them.

Treat them as part of your life, and they will devote their whole life to you.

The wonderful relationships that can happen between dogs and humans are truly amazing.

How carefree and lovely it would be to be a good master of an adorable pet who will stick to you during the good and bad times..

YQ would love to be a proud owner of a lovely pet, especially dogs..

But he didn't.

For, he lack the courage to face death.

YQ is afraid.

Afraid of the day when his love-ones depart.

Human or pets.

I have kept this to myself since young.

How amazing it will be to own a nice dog which can be part of our life.

A colourful chapter of our life.

But i doubt i will. To own a dog.

The feeling of losing someone close to you is unbearable.

The fact that the physical existence of he/she/it will no longer be around.

Attending funeral is always a solemn issue. Crying out isn't a way for me to express my emotions. Not until i have to attend my grandpa wake quite a few years back. I can accept that life and death is a nature cycle of life. But i have yet to be able to accept the fact regarding the loss of certain physical existence.

Thou i don't really know much about grandpa and his life-story but I am very proud of him. Naturally, grandma, mum, dad, uncle, aunties were all feeling very sad during the days when grandpa passed away. As the younger offsprings of the family tree, we were all busy helping out at the wake. It was an ultra grand funeral wake. The whole HDB walkway was covered by wreaths. Outsiders have to peek through the wreaths to see what is happening inside. The wake can be seen by cars passing-by from far away. Endless flow of people came to pay respect to grandpa. It was totally grand.

I am proud of grandpa. He's getting old and cancer cells are spreading. He passed away peacefully with everyone of us by his side. I didn't cry throughout the few days. But not on the last day of sending-off.

I really hate the 'last' day where we have to 'send' off someone whom we know.

I didn't expect myself to cry. But it happened at the very last moment. The moment where the body will be send for incremation.

That very day, all i can heard was the chanting of the monks. All i can feel was tears flowing down my cheek. All i can think of was how grandpa spend his time with us when we were young. I miss him. It was the moment where i can't control myself. Even after aunt saw me crying and offered me tissue. I cried for the next 1 hour. The feeling was unbearable.

16th of Feb, 2009. We have to send-off Joyce. That morning, they all agreed not to cry. I was really impressed by the strength of the girls. They all cried when they received the dreadful news but I didn't, for that couple of days. Not until....

I sat at one of the table watching over Joyce's body. My tears began flowing down my face once i saw that the undertaker starts to clear the things in front of Joyce. I tried to control my emotions. But I am sorry that i can't.. "Stop clearing all those things.. Stop touching the offerings please.. Stop clearing the tables.." That was all inside my mind. I was damn pissed off. For a moment, I hate them for clearing away whatever stuff. But i know they are just doing their job. The final moment where our love ones will not exist physically will come as a matter of fact. When we have to walk our final journey with this best friend of ours. I miss her terribly.

The inspiration of writing this post is due to the movie, Marley & Me.

It was kinda boring at some stages of the film.

But the final 15-20 mins was the most accurate reflection of life.

I almost almost almost cried. But i think it's quite shame shame for a grown-up guy to cry inside a cinema. So i don't dare to blink my eyes for a moment to keep my cheek dry.

My heart ached terribly during the few scenes/moments where Marley was about to depart from e world. So saddening!

So if your guys feel like crying but couldn't find any good reason to cry, try watching Marley & Me in the cinema. It's worth the tears in the end. =)

Browsed thru some photographs and discovered some funny moments.. Those were all the wonderful days which we once shared with ah dong. The friendship. The bonding. No matter how busy or occupied we are, precious friendship are still worth the efforts to maintain.

Exams are coming in two months time. Other than 'camping' at home hoping to study hard, there isn't much thing to tempt me from leaving my hse. Hasn't been working for this semester and my dollarS are getting lesser and lesser.. But luckily mum and dad are providing me with sufficient allowances throughout these months. Really hope to do well for this coming exams and that the Taiwan trip with the guys will happens in July. As for those friends whom i have not meet up for ages, i am truly sorry! I really hope to catch up with you all soon..

Xiangying ah! Sorry for not being able to accompany you much lately.. Hmmm.. Will get you your story book soon but u gotta take good care of urself.. Don't be careless anymore and stay healthy always.. Many movies which we have missed but still, we will spend quality time together for now. Your 21st birthday is coming right up after my papers..

I believe everyone has so much more to say to you. You have been a great friend of ours since the day we first met in the Year 2002. Though most of our classmates has been pursuing their own goals in life and each of us having our own commitments, the bonding between us has always been excellent. Thru you, we get to know your cousin, your younger sister and your family members.. Weishi is seriously a very capable young lady indeed.. Really amaze with her strength and willpower.. But what really surprised us is your dad.. He told us plenty of stories about him and your family yesterday night.. We have heard amazing stories told by him.. He's wonderful father whom u can be proud of.. Do bless your whole family..

Beside your other good friends, there's this five of us who have been great buddies all along since the days after i got my driving license in Year 2005.

Jindi, Swee Yee, Peng Xiong, Yong Chuan and Joyce.. Why five? Coz my family car can only squeeze in the few of us. Countless bowling trips to OCC.. Movie sessions.. KTV-ing.. Suppers or even a simple crapping session with just the five of us can make those around us be filled with envy.. We all bought a huge camping tent during one of the new year eve.. We camped at Pasir Ris park.. We played card games.. We drank.. We crapped and we all sweated inside the stuffy tent.. When everyone was asleep, the two of us walked to a nearby cafe which was closed for business.. We sat there during the wee hours in the morning where we crapped, played poker cards and drank a bottle of Rose Champagne.. The huge tent is still lying inside my store room.. I miss the good old days..

The trip to Kuala Lumpur and Genting Highland was wonderful too.. Again, it was the five of us.. The first few nights where we stayed over at my uncle hse in KL was fun. Everynight, we had to squeeze into a room and randomly choose our individual sleeping arrangements.. Someone snored and we all laughed until cannot tahan during the first night.. We all know who(a guy) and no offence okay! haha.. But i think i heard someone snoring soundly beside me on the second night and i guess it's you bah.. Hehe.. At Genting Highland, the five of us squeezed onto a queen+single sized bed.. Again, we had to draw lots to determine our sleeping arrangements.. Those were the happy yet crazy moments we once shared.. Over at the Casino, the two of us combined to play French Boule.. We won a few hundred bucks and i gave u a $50 "tips"!

This fun group of us celebrated so many occasions together.. We took countless of photos together and have had many joyful gatherings throughout all these years.. We planned so much birthday celebrations and surprises for almost everyone.. There are many more happy moments.. We celebrated during the good times and we chatted & crapped during the not-so-good times.. Thanks for being there for everyone when we need one another.

I am sorry. I didn't managed to crap with you as much as how i used to crapped with you.. We didn't managed to help you when u needed us most.. Some of our advices to you may be harsh at times, especially mine, but you should know that we all cares for you the most and i really appreciate you for who you are.

YQ deeply misses the cheerful Joyce whom we once know during the poly days.. You are one of the most happy-go-lucky person among us all.. But life is never a completely smooth journey for anyone.. Life still goes on from now on, but it will never gonna be completed without you around.. You shall stay in our heart till we meet again.. Don't be worried.. Move on.. You have to learn to be strong and be joyful as your name, Joyce(Joyzz)..

I am sure he can't swallow the defeat, yet again to the young R.Nadal.. This is the third straight time that Nadal has defeated Federer in a Grand Slam final, and the fifth time in seven clashes.. What a record! Mind you, this is against Roger Federer! A legend who was ranked No. 1 in the world for a record 237 weeks!! Gosh..

Federer, please buck up!! Fight back with all your might..

Went hunting for many food.. YQ wanted to eat the Lor Mee @ Amoy FC for lunch but it's closed for business.. Therefore, he and XY had Nasi Bryani and Char kway teow instead.. The c.k.t. is surprisingly good! Very tasty despite the watery look.. Very shiok.. Xiangying like the c.k.t alot.. I commented that the Hillstreet c.k.t @ outram is also delicious.. Glad that we made a trip down to Amoy or else the Bryani stall will be relocate to Serangoon next week..

Had the usual banana milkshake and i realised that the Prawn mee stall is not around anymore.. We walked over to Tanjong Pagar FC for the super yummy Peanut Ice Kachang! Another wonderful dessert.. Hehehe.. After which, we went shopping and laze around till my 4pm Dental appointment.. We wanted to eat frog porridge @ chinatown, but we went to hunt for the Hillstreet c.k.t. for dinner!! They have shifted back to the Chinatown Complex FC.. It's a huge food centre! YQ went to search for the c.k.t and end up losing his way when he couldn't find his way back to his table! Anyway, we tried two plates of c.k.t.. 1 with chilli and the other w/o chilli.. Xiangying tasted the 1st plate with chilli.. She find it so-so only.. YQ finished the whole plate and find it normal.. Next, we tried the plate w/o chilli.. Worse! She commented that the chilli c.k.t taste better (which is sort of weird!) coz Xiangying don't take hot stuff.. Alamak... The standard has dropped and the c.k.t isn't as tasty as before..

We will surely go back to Amoy FC in future! =)

I am also looking forward to try out the famous c.k.t @ bedok south!

Had a good dinner with the polymates @ Ayam Penyet Ria, Lucky plaza in the evening.. Ice treated us with the nasi ayam penyet and bought us a hazelnut choc cake which is very delicious.. I like the Gado - Gado which is very tasty.. Reminded me of the tauhu goreng which i like to eat when i was staying at hougang.. Ice treated us coz she isn't around for mine, joyce and peng xiong birthday in the previous months.. Seriously, it's so nice of her.. Thanks many and all the best for your coming job interview.. Was supposed to catch a movie (Ong Bak 2) with the rest of the people but we didn't.. So me, andy and pengxiong made our way down Orchard road planning to play pool.. But as we walked past Cathay, we decided to check if there's any last min slot for Ip Man even thou Andy watched the show already.. Just nice! 9.50pm is the last slot for the day.. We rushed to purchase the tickets and we spent the next 100 mins sitting inside the cinema.. The review for Ip Man is very good.. Nice fighting scenes with a very strong martial art (Wing Chun) culture.. What makes me thinking real hard after the end of the movie is about the ability to protect ur family and love ones when they are under threat or perhaps the survivor of the fittest.. Haiyo.. Maybe i think too much, it's just a movie..

Spent the whole saturday at Pasir Ris park with Peng Xiong, Andy, En En, Yin Xia and Guo Hao + many others as it's the 21st birthday celebration of Peng xiong's sister.. His niece is so adorable and the main thing is, she likes me alot.. Lol.. We spent the whole afternoon cycling and kayaking while i also rented a pair of roller blade.. The previous time when i bladed was over a decade ago.. At first, i had difficulties moving around when i first put on the blades.. But i still managed to blade for over 1 km alone soon after!! Muahaha.. The more i blade, the faster i go and i ended the 1 km+ journey by kissing my butt against the grass.. hehhe.. Luckily not much people saw the incident.. I couldn't stop myself after blading too fast and so, i decided to "land" myself on a patch of grass.. LOL..

Alright, thanks for the concerns of those who msn-ed & sms -ed me.. I am okay.. Just feeling slightly emo and fat.. Life is an 遥远的道路.. So we all wouldn't really know much about the future.. Just leave it as it is and be happy.. All i want for the upcoming year is happiness and healthiness.. Most impt is to do well for the UOL exams in May/June..

I'm back from Kuala Lumpur!

Uncle's hse now have 4 dogs and 6 cats!

The 5 days trip was superb fast..

It was my 1st time taking budget airline (Tiger Airway)..

The journey to KL was very fast as compared to the coach journey.

SG - KL. Around 55 mins..

Costed us ard SGD$100 for 3 pax..

KL airport - Uncle place. Around 1.15 hours (Cab)..

Costed us RM$70+..

Journey from KL - Genting was also good..

While the return trip from KL - SG was much better than before..

18 pax coach.. The seat is like GV gold class..

Watched Shrek 3 + Invisible Target during e 5.5 hrs trip..

Alot more movies to watch but no time!

The saddening thing is that Liverpool lost to Tottenham!

Sad sad sad..

Rafael Benitez track record against Harry Redknapp was terrible!

And instead of winning a few million bucks from Casino De Genting.

YQ donated a million bucks to them.. Sad.. hahaha..

Happy Mid Autumn Festival 2008!

Went shopping for mooncakes at Ngee Ann City with Xiangying on Thursday.. She bought Bakerin Snowskin mooncakes for my family and i got her family baked walnuts mooncakes.. Not forgetting the yummy fried yam mooncakes.. Bought a total of 4 boxes and spent over $100+... Faintx.. My preferred assorted snowskin mooncakes from Goodwood Park Hotel was sold out.. So sad!

Had Swensens with the toothless Ah Tam during one of the weekdays.. She extracted SIX of her healthy teeth in just a week.. Such a brave girl.. Amazingly, we have had our first ever completed Swensens' meal together.. She had her strawberry sundae while i had my almond grilled lamb chop..

Went over to Sportslink at AMK on the weekend to get my soccer shoes.. Reasonably priced at $59. Hope it will be a pair of fitting and comfy shoes for my future games! Can't wait for the weekend session to come!

Lunch at Amoy is always good.. Will miss those forever long queues and the good food.. Other than those yummy goodies at Amoy, YQ discovered a wonderfully nice Ice-Kachang stall at Tanjong Pagar Food Market.. Priced at $1.50 per bowl, the peanut ice kachang was selling like hotcakes during lunchtime.. I am not a big fan of cold dessert, but the peanut ice-kachang managed to won over my heart..

Friday was my last day in office.. I was touched by the sweet gesture the moment i reached office early in the morning.. Out of three times when i tried queuing for the famous nasi lemak at Amoy, i only managed to eat once.. Knowing that i love the nasi lemak, my colleagues bought 1 huge packet for my breakfast.. That was perhaps one of the sweetest nasi lemak i have had.. Hahahas.. Bought three dozen of J.Co donuts for the whole office in the late noon.. Received a well-wishes Ang pow from some other colleagues.. Another heartwarming gesture by them.. Thou it's just 9 weeks of temp work, i have known a bunch of nice people over at Aviva EBH.. Worked till 8pm and my immediate supervisor/mentor, Salina brought me out for dinner at Tiong bahru..

Dinner was with the SIM peoples on Wednesday night.. Had Tian Tian steamboat at Bugis.. The people are fun, but the food isn't that nice.. Nothing can beats the Chong Qing Hotpot at Tanglin Shopping Centre.. Had dessert after the steamboat.. That was nice thou.. haha.. Forgotten the name le.. Shall update some pictures if i manage to get some..

Work is coming to an end soon.. 9 more days to be exact.. UOL results should be out real soon.. Checked the student portal yesterday night.. Out of the 4 modules which i took, 1 appears to be labelled as "Not Fulfilled".. I checked the portal again a moment ago.. The whole section of academic profile are gone.. Guess the doom date is approaching me.. I know i did badly, even if i manage to pass.. No excuses for that.. Yongquan's fault..

Now that the results are coming out and work gonna end, i am starting to realise that student's life is actually a bliss.. If the results permit, it will be my last chance to really work hard as a full time student..

I will really miss the food at Amoy Food Centre..

Guess some of u might be wondering how on earth did YQ managed to get those F1 passes.. I actually took part in the Aviva F1 teamwork contest for Asia Pacific Staff .. There are a total of 25 sets of (3-days pass) for the event in S'pore.. YQ submitted 3 entries for the contest thru my colleagues and manager.. All my 3 entries won.. A total of 9 passes.. Mind you, it's not lucky draw.. hahaha.. $498 per set.. However, once the results are out, everyone wanted to go.. So no choice, have to share share.. What is left for YQ is simply a pair of Padang grandstand pass.. =)

Dear friends, do catch the firework displays @ Esplanade.. Tonight (French Romance) and tomorrow night (Korean Fantasia).. Shld be around 9pm if i am not wrong.. But do be there early unless u have bought the tickets to the carnival long ago.. My younger brother bought 9 tickets @ $18 per head.. I rather squeeze thru the crowds tonight.. hahas.. =)

Tried an enormous plate of Wonton Mee yesterday @ Amoy Food Market.. Ppl who work around Shenton Way will know that the queue of certain foodstalls are superbly longgggg.. First time trying out the wonton mee (tai seng) and i was freaked out.. Normal size: $3 & Large: $4.. The $4 mee is really LARGE.. 5 fried wonton, 7/8 wonton inside the huge bowl of soup, many many slices of char siew and lots of cooked veg plus 1 extra big serving of noodle.. I can't even mix them together coz the portion is simply too big.. My colleagues took over 20 mins to get those wonton mee..

Had the Nasi Lemak too.. Queue time is around 15 mins before 12pm and 20+ mins during lunchtime.. That was really nice though.. The rice is tasty.. Just like those malay style nasi lemak wrapped in small pandan leaves.. I like it.. Cheap and good.. The chicken wing is crispy too.. Serving is big too.. Next to the Nasi lemak stall is the Lor mee stall.. The queue is long too.. But waiting time is much shorter.. Nice lor mee too.. I am starting to fall in love with Amoy.. But i don't really like to queue.. hahahas.. I will try to upload some of the lovely food when possible.. Coz i am still using my sister lappy..

Don't buy those durians outside Heartland Mall again.. The quality sucks now.. Boycott them..

For those who had witnessed the speed of Usain Bolt during Beijing Olympic, it's awesome.. The way he won his 100m dash is still a vivid imagination really.. What a lightning fast sprinter..

Me and Swee yee met Yee Ru over lunch on Tuesday.. She's currently working at DBS.. Its been quite sometimes since the polymates last met up.. We shall have some gathering soon..

Last Saturday was 3 hrs of badminton session @ Marsiling CC with Swee yee, Peng xiong and Rachel.. Whacked the shuttlecocks till my ass ached.. The public transportations for Marsiling Residents are really bad.. Imagine waiting for a bus who wouldn't come.. It's terrible.. We waited for a bus for over 50 mins and there isn't any.. We ended up taking a cab home.. Why? Bus jammed at woodlands.. What an "experience" at Marsiling..

Sunday was a short football session with Swee yee and co. @ NUS.. The outdoor facilities at NUS are good.. Those university campus life.. How wonderful it can be.. I had an ominous dream yesterday night.. UOL examination results are out.. I passed all 4 modules.. I was shocked..

I am prepared for it..

It was a dream..

Dreams and realities are different issues..

Just spent 3 hours sitting in front of the television set watching the opening ceremony of Olympic' 08.. I am sure the whole of China will be proud of this achievement.. The whole performance was stunningly solid.. Well done, China.. The graphics, the coordinations, the visual effects, the fireworks etc were excellent.. I was totally glued to the screen with the exception during the walking in session of the participants.. They took over two hours for the 204 countries to walk into the main arena.. I waited damn long to see Singapore (after over 190+ countries) and was kinda disappointed.. I'm sure the whole of the China citizens will be proud of this day, with the exception of those who gave up their citizenships yet returning as citizen of other nations... Seeing someone who was once a citizen of other nation as Singapore's flag bearer doesn't go down well with me personally.. Isn't there any local lad who is more worthy of carrying SG flag on a big international stage? It doesn't matter if that person can guarantee any medals for Singapore.. There are some smaller nations which consists only of a few participants.. Yet they are holding their own national flag high up.. Hmmm.. Surely Singapore can do better.. And pls, i am not biase against anyone in this world.. I just want the whole world to see a local Singaporean lad carrying our own Singapore flag.. I do fully appreciate the contributions made by the whole of Team Singapore..

It's will be National Day just after the 8th of August 2008.. I am starting to recall this period which happens a year ago..

NDP 2007 was greatly anticipated by everyone coz it's the 1st NDP to be held @ Marina Bay.. My whole family attended the NDP preview together for the 1st time.. I got two precious tickets for the actual day (thanks to Jindi) and the two of us nearly fall out over the pair of tickets.. (but it wouldn't happens!) I can still clearly remembering everything which happens on NDP' 07.. From meeting Garfield @ Cityhall Mrt station, to collecting tickets from Jindi and to sending Garfield back home after Supper.. Squeezing thru those horrible crowded walkways..

Not forgetting my favourite Fireworks! Yong Quan loves fireworks.. Especially during the Fireworks Festival.. Those displays are usually much better.. Still can remember bringing Jin to one of the display and meeting up with mum and brother.. Having Anderson Ice Cream with them and ended up with having Jin as my "gf" whom watched Firework with me.. Faintx.. The polymates also watched one of the display together by Team China.. The firework ended up with lots of air pollutions.. One of the most "polluted" display which i have ever seen..

How fast a year have passed.. Some are attached.. Some are busy with their work/school etc.. Hmmm... Truely missed those crappy times with them.. Works are piling up for me inside office.. Working overtime during normal days and catching up with some hk tvb dramas during weekends.. Watching movies and having dinners with XY ocassionally.. Spending a few hours playing soccer weekly @ the basketball court.. I enjoy doing all the above activities..

But i miss chilling out with them or spending the whole day ilding.. Playing pools and having suppers on weekdays.. Delicious Nasi Lemak at Chong Pang.. Missing it alot.. Going to party on weekends or even playing tennis/badminton as and when we feel like going.. "Dating" Jin / Garfield out on a regular basis.. They were my wonderful movie mates.. I miss disturbing people around me.. Slacking throughout.. But these things wouldn't last.. Everyone have their own commitment.. Study.. Work.. Gosh... Results are coming out real soon.. I gotta replan for my future.. I really got to work hard and start earning money soon.. How i wish i'm one of the $8 mil TOTO winners.. 8 lucky chaps won the 1st prize.. Each got a million bucks to spend.. The jackpot numbers are 14, 17, 19, 21, 25, 38 and additional number 34.. I really wanna go for a break before September comes.. So u may see me inside Casino de Genting during the 17th/18th period.. hahaha.. I might be tagging along with mummy..

Durians are good.. I am eating plenty of them.. Shiok.. Buy them at Kovan, outside the shopping Centre.. The deals there are good.. But pls do bargain if u can.. haha.. But do not buy from the store outside Angie The Choice.. Me & gf bought 2 durians from there once.. $40.. What the fark.. Outside Kovan mrt station, I usually buy 6 big boxes of durians (usual $18 each) for $50 during weekdays..hahaha.. Good quality..

I met Elvin (another sec school mate) at the same place i bumped into Tze yi and Jing Ray.. To my surprise, Tze yi and Elvin are actually working at the same company.. LOL.. I also saw Jane during lunch.. She's working @ DBS and i saw Shijia and Penelope too!! hahahaa!

There are lots of good food at Amoy Food Centre.. I really missed the outlet (banana leaf etc..) below Penisula Plaza selling Nasi Bryani.. I used to eat it often during my NS time... But the whole food court is gone.. Anyone who has any idea which outlet i am referring to can let me know where it moved to? Today, i tried a chicken bryani during lunch.. It was very tasty and the chicken is real soft.. Comparable to the penisula outlet, except that they dun sell mutton bryani.. I will post the shop number in future.. =)

I seem to get myself into a totally different time zone nowadays.. Time seem to flow away in an ultra fast motion ever since i started work. Thou it's just an administrative job with a pathetic pay (thanks to recruit express), i am sort of falling in love with the pace of the working world.. Basically, i am now at Aviva dealing with issues regarding the corporate businesses.. The dept doesn't deal directly with the sales of insurance.. It is sort of a backroom operation dept which liase with insurance brokers.. I am doing those general admin stuff plus preparation of the tedious paperworks for renewal of insurance.. It's a pretty fast paced environment, but it suit me well. For YQ can a workaholic as he couldn't sit down idling.. Trust him to doze off in a few seconds when unoccupied..

Life is filled with much coincidence isn't it?

Bumped into my ex poly lecturer @ Bishan a month ago.. I was hoping to get into an established Co. for temp job so i thought that was a great opportunity as she is working at Mercer.. I shall not talk about the process.. I didn't get the chance...

Two days ago, i went over to Mercer with my colleague to meet some of the brokers.. Coincidentally, we bumped into each other again.. Her desk is just nearby.. She walked past me and i said hi to her.. She said: "So they managed to get you in ah." I replied her that i am now working for Aviva.. She nodded her head and simply walked away..

Working in the city really enhanced the chances of meeting people you know.. I bumped into Tze Yi on the train to work.. And a few mins later, we bumped into Jingray at outram station.. They are my secondary schoolmates.. We didn't really get to see each other ever since we graduated from Montfort.. They are both working for different recruitment agencies.. Guess i can send out more resumes in future.. Hehe.. Will definitely catch up with them again..

Saw Michelle Ho on the second day of work.. We met up for lunch with Xiu Juan yesterday.. And today, i bumped into her again when i bought my lunchbox.. Their office is actually directly opposite my building la.. LOL..

My in-charge ask me to help her get a loaf of white bread @ 11am this morning.. After purchasing the bread @ 7-11, i decided to sneak over to Amoy food centre to try the Lor Mee.. The average waiting time is around 20 mins for a tiny bowl of noodle during lunch time.. But the food centre is empty at 11am.. So happy.. NO NEED TO QUEUE plus plenty of seats! I happily bought a small bowl to try.. Delicious.. But the next moment, another familiar face appeared..

He bumped into Kailin.. Ha...

Another 7 weeks of work to go.. Who will i get to see? hahahss...

Watched HellBoy 2: The Golden Army with my dear Tam yesterday.. That was a good movie.. We totally indulged ourselves with the action packed 2 hrs film that is filled with many creatures.. Guillermo del Toro's show are good.. YQ love his movies..

I actually realised that my girlfriend look wonderfully adorable sweet when inside the dark dark cinema.. The way when she smile gently looking at me.. hahaha.. She may look horrifying idiotic when she tries to show-off to me her monsterious ugly-faces at times.. But she looks so sweet when she wear a smile on her face inside the cinema.. hahahaa.. Her lovely chubby face.. Hugs baby!

Temp Job @ Avivia

I am here blogging using my sister lappy.. The only person at home using the lousy pc is me. The internet adaptor is having problems for the past few weeks, and i have given up hope on it. YQ seldom come online in the recent days. No more late nights of idling around for i have got myself a temp job. Currently working at 137 Cecil street under the corporate biz unit located @ Aviva buildng.. Will be there working for a total of 9 weeks at a pretty fast-paced working environment. Do meet me up for lunch if your guys happen to be there too!

Plenty of movies for me to catch up, but my working hours seem to be kinda messy due to working overtime. Baby Tam is also busy with her work as usual. Really nice to see her settling into her working environment @ mediacorp publishing.. Can see that she is really busy with her work as she seem to be entering into the warzone on the weekdays..

Went to Carrefour with Tam after work during one of e weekdays.. Bought 4 boxes of durians for 18 bucks.. I ate 1.5 boxes and the rest was gone 2 days later.. D24 (which costed me $10 for 3 boxes) was just so so.. Don't really like the quality.. But the Mao Shan Wang durians which costed me $8 per box was good! So if your guys are heading down to Carrefour @ PS, do get the Mao Shan Wang durians which is priced @ $20 for 3 boxes.. It will definitely be the better deal for better quality durians..

Had dinner with baby tam, mummy and sister + some of my relatives @ The Soup Restaurant yesterday @ Compasspoint. Went to Compass Height and we ate durians again.. LOL.. Durian everywhere, SHIOK..

Guess i will be kinda busy until school resume in mid September. UOL courses are tough.. I will either have to buck up or will have to restructure the plan for my Uni education.. SIM no longer serve refreshments during the breaktime due to escalating costs! Gosh.. They are earning big bucks sia.. What a profit-making institution..

Hurted my right foot while playing football a week ago.. It suxs..

It's a superb hilarious action comedy by Adam Sandler..
Didn't expect the movie to be so good..
Tot it's just a normal comedy by Adam..
But this guy is a real joker with his Middle East Israeli role..

Things aren't turning out reasonably well for me lately..
(Or should i say since last year?)
Was pretty optimistic for 2008 to come...
But luck was definitely deserting me for a long period of time..
YQ is beginning to lose his memory..
His concentration level dropped greatly in the recent years too..

There's a high chance of him failing his UOL papers..
POA.. gone...
OTIA.. gone..
Macro.. Pray hard..
Sociology.. Pray well..

Jeoffrey's dad passed away towards the end of my exam period..
Was kinda sad to receive the news..
Attended the wake at St Joseph Church..
Jeoffery has always been very close to his dad..
Do take good care my dear cousin-in-law..
Deepest condolence to Jeoffrey & Family..

YQ was kinda affected after attending the cremation @ Mandai..
His tears flowed freely again whenever he attend cremation services..
The first time being when he attended his grandpa cremation..
He cried, uncontrollably, on seeing the deceased being sent into e crematorium furnace..
The feeling of someone leaving u forever, physically, is tough for him to accept..

Very often, as natural takes its own course..
Human nature tends to take things for granted..

Uncertainty is certainly high at this moment of his life..
But guess he can only wait for his results to be out in August 2008...
In the meantime, he just hope to get himself a temporary vacation job..
Everyone is working except him..

An asshole driver crashed his cab into daddy car yesterday..
I took a cab at 4.30am to the scene..
Another half a metre and my dad will be hit..
Luckily he's fine and i think he was damn shocked by the incident..
Traffic police came..
I called for an ambulance to send my dad for a checkup..
Served SCDF for 2 years.. It was the 1st time i sat on an ambulance to CGH..
Fire engine arrived too.. OMG.. hahaha... dunno why..
Oh ya.. A&E is expensive.. $75 for consultation..
I gonna whack on the car plate numbers this weekend!!
hahaha.. Possibly a brand new car in return?
Things are really getting expensive..

On one hand, Singaporean are complaining alot about price hikes..
But don't they realised that they are actually living in a pretty well organised nation?
Most imporantly. Singapore is generally safe from natural disaster..
Do appreciate.. The Singapore government are doing well..

My younger brother has won himself a scholarship award from the government..
He will be studying Economics @ SMU in the coming months..
Kinda proud of him.. Such a capable chap...
Hope everything will turn out well for him!

Tam graduated from her polytechnic and just started work!

She's working as a Secretary/PA at the moment.. The pay is pretty decent but YQ still hope that she can go back to school in the near future when she sort out her planning for the future.. Get a good degree and pursue her ideal job when she thought of one.. Good luck and all the best, babe! You can do it.. Forget about your "O"s level and poly results.. Rem that your PSLE is 245! Much higher than mine!! Just have faith and be more hardworking in your studies.. Hee.. Having a good qualification will allow us to have a good stepping stone towards earning more $$$ in future okay? hahahs..

Honey Bunches of Oats with Real Strawberries.

Bought a big packet of cereal last week.. Ah Tam recommended it and the cereal taste really good.. There's a mixture of crispy flakes and crunchy oat clusters with slight coating of honey! There's also plenty slices of real strawberries(dried).. Usually YQ don't finish up those big packets.. But he has been having the cereal for consecutive mornings!

~Running out of time~

The first three weeks of April 08 will be packed with lots of UOL revisions in school.. Not much time left for studying.. My first paper will be on the 16th of May 08.. The revision process is moving very slowly, but time is flying like nobody business.. I am in deep trouble.. Study harder!!

Movie: 'Untraceable'.

Gosh.. Freaking lousy film without much actings.. YQ was so keen to watch this show when he saw the trailer a month ago.. But was kinda turned-off by the whole show.. Think it will be much better reading his lecture notes or reading a story book.. Don't watch! Guess the title 'Unwatchable' will suits the film better..

I am back from my reservist course on thursday!!

Supposedly to be a 1 week course..

But friday happens to be a public holiday..

GOOD Friday indeed.. shiok..

Went thru a wonderfully slack course..

Lectures and E-learning all the way..

Had breakfast, lunch and tea break everyday..

Mee Rubus and Nasi every morning..

Plus FOC camp-food for lunch..

Somemore i will be paid $75.81 for that week.. hahs..

Everything was great except for the the inevitable long journey back home..

Watched two movies during the weekdays.. The first film is "10,000 B.C" and the 2nd is "Step Up 2".. Has been waiting for the release of "10,000 B.C" since i first saw e preview months ago.. Seem to be an awesome show with all the ancient creatures and actions.. But to be frank, the show is just so-so only.. Guess the previews had covered all the interesting part.. hhahas.. Kinda disappointing la.. The setting of the primitive period is nice, but the storyline and the actions are just average.. It's like watching Jurassic Park with just seeing a few dinosaurs making camo appearances..

As for the second show "Step Up 2", i do hesitate whether to watch when they asked me to join them.. Didn't really look forward to the show as those dance genre doesn't interest me much.. But i was wrong eh!! hahas.. Simply a funky show that exhibits wonderful street dancing.. Woohoo! Hip Hop.. It made me feel like joining a Hip-hop dance class once my exams are over.. LOLs.. Cool.. Average plot.. Nice dance moves.. Worth watching..

Over these past 2 years, i dont deny i grew alot. FAR much more than you guys expected. no offence, plainly because i love myself so much that i couldnt bear any more visible scars that is gonna THROW STRAIGHT on my face ANYMORE. PROTECTING myself has eventually become the most prior in my life though i still wanna have fun once in a while.

sometimes i ask myself if my first breakup resulted how i think now and how i want my future bf would like to be. and maybe some reasons why i did not accept any guys who woo me for the pass two years. OH yah! dont ever ask me about my second bf, cause i dont think i remember him even his face at all. and the entire 2 weeks tgt was just a WHITE LIE cause ive never met some one who is so CAPABLE TO LIE to me every single day till the truth falls from his frigging mouth weeks later. regardless of numerics: i have one ex boyfriend.

closer friends like you girls ask me if me and yq would ever patch back. i have an uncertain NO. Simply because the both of us have changed, hopefully for the better. (: and yes, from time to time i do miss him, for i know he is the one only guy who love me till death and even kissed my flaws if i had one. he is not a mr nice i would say but at least, some one who is true to you. the almost a year half together was not for NOTHING. it builds up lots and tonnes of memories and nightmares we had created. everywhere says something about us. every weekend will be filled with our laughters and naggings. we talked so much, about our future about our everything.

and maybe i think he is in love with someone else now and of course, i will certainly bless him with all my blessings, for i just want him to be happy with who he is with, and his girl will be deifinitely like a big baby girl cause he will be like a nanny taking care of her every needs. maybe thats what he really wants which will make him for who he is (: HAA.

yays, this is so much like a cycle. karma had HIT me now. looking how badly he was hurt by me years ago, and how every claws of mine had scratched him hard. saying lies to him and want him to forget me entirely, blogged about how happy i am now and want him to think that my life is so complete without him. i felt so childish now, realising this sacrifice was like a DOOM. and assumptions like i break up with him because i dont like him was a hell NO. and sometimes i thought retribution will strike back to me if we patch back cause i cant afford to lose anyone i love anymore. or rather, i will want to enjoy my singlehood though i will miss the presence of that guy whom i'm upmost comfortable with. the guy who helped me in my assignments, printing out of thick notes when common test is drawing near, bought my favourite choice of icecream and not afraid that i will grow fat and will crush his bed badly if i tug into his blacket. and i remember the times i will grumble if he doesnt want to meet me. and one xmas season he had to go out of spore with his relatives which nearly got me fuming and upset. despite the kingkong movie which companied us in the noon, it wasnt enough. and i wonder where he had kept the cross-stich patchwork which i did for him. well, theres alot more. breathless if i had to list them down. it was a welldone 2005-2006.

and i thought every choice i made was right. thinking that i would be so happy to see people wooing me. but hell no, i hate the fact when i reject people again and AGAIN, for i know this day will be my turn.

YQ firmly believe that one should always take up the responsibility for whatever actions which they had taken in the past.. Many friends asked if i will be back with her one day.. During the recent days, we talked and communicated.. The two of us simply know each other just too well.. But sometimes, it's just e stubbornness in us that make the two of us upset.. Anyway, fate do plays an important part in everyone life.. I do believe in fate and do my frens remember my own-defined theory of my life? YQ will be having three woman in his life and he will leave this world when he is at the peak of his life around the age of 50.. Shijia remember it and told me: "She's ya 3rd and last girl." hahas.. And she added "that doesnt mean real Lovers cant get back together.." But one thing that i cannot deny is that, we still do feel for each other even after having been thru so much thing.. We fall in love, we loved, we teared and we grew.. Everyone of us learn thru experiences.. Everything happens for a reason..

I do believe that time will dilute things.. But definitely not things which consist of true feelings.. Time may dilute the pain, sadness or unhappiness in someone.. Or even dilute the so called "love" between two "lovers" when people seem to be falling madly in love with one another so easily in this modern world.. But time will also show and tell a story by itself.. What is a truly long-lasting r/s without the obstacles in life? Certainly, it takes time.. We were both in our 16s and 19s when we know each other.. We are now going to be 20s and 23s.. Almost 4 years of courtship, dating, understanding, misunderstanding and even arguements plus both the lovely and hurting moments.. This silly baby girl who has seen the ugly world by herself over the past 2 years is getting much more mature.. And she is coming back to my side..

Spent my whole day sleeping on my lovely bed yesterday..
Have been staying up till 3am for three consecutive nights..
Totally drained for the stupid map surveyor project..
Pretty ass-ing job..
So stupid of me to forsake my slacking 1 hrs - $20 temp job..
Hopefully the map will be cleared ASAP..

Oh ya.. Watched "L change the World" a couple of weeks ago..
Pretty bio-terrorist kind of show..
Most likely will be joining Rachel and ppls for a movie on this coming thurs..

Hello people! Its been quite sometime back since i last online/blogged eh.. Hee.. Supposed to be having mock exams for the whole of this week plus next monday.. But i skipped most of the papars.. Guess i gotta prepare for the upcoming monday's paper.. Spent the whole semester idling around.. Time to wake up and start studying hard.. National Library shall be my 2nd home for the next couple of months.. Super lots of materials for us to study, memorize, digest and to reproduce those genius work in our own manner.. Sometimes i wonder why is my backside so itchy: opting for UOL instead of RMIT.. Looking for trouble.. hahs..

Oh ya.. Lost my O2 fone 2 weeks ago.. The person who picked it up has YET to return me my memory SD card.. Pls return me okay? hahas.. Very important for my studies.. Just got myself a new phone.. Nokia 6500 Slide.. My "black forest" phone.. Fell in love with this elegant phone like a couple of months ago.. The reason for me to choose 02 over N6500 is due to the huge pricing differences 4 months ago.. But now this black beauty is just going for $118 @ Singtel shop.. It will be like going to depreciate further.. But i simply can't wait to lay my hand on the phone coz my old SE fone is like going to explode anytime.. hahaas..

I like i like!!! CJ7 may not be the best movie ever.. But it's definitely the best among the recent movies which YQ watched.. Step aside Kung Fu Dunk and Ah Long Pte Ltd.. Say hello to CJ7!! =)

A simple and heartwarming story which is very joyful to be watched.. 10 mins into the show, i knew that this shall be the best show among the "hot" movies recently.. Lots of funny stuff and the acting is good.. Those kids are fantastic actors.. CJ7 is so adorable.. The person sitting beside me.. Laughed as loud as Ms Tam the night before.. hahahs.. The whole cinema can hear you okay! Ah Jin... People, do watch this show!!

YQ went to service his O2 mobile phone this afternoon at Funan IT mall.. The earpiece is spoilt.. No sound on the right side.. Thought i can get a new earpiece as it is still under warranty.. But they are sending the spoilt earpiece for repair!!! Still need to diagnose the problem.. Ridiculous!! I also asked if there is any chinese software available.. The answer is yes.. But it will cost me a freaking $89.. Kaos! Buy their phone, still need to purchase the chinese language software separately.. This is how O2 operate their businesses.. It sux..

The foodcourt below peninsular plaza is gone and my favourite Banana Leaf's mutton bryani is gone.. Saddening.. Anyone know where did they shifted to? Let me know okay, thanks..

YQ is now totally broke due to the constant spending over the past weeks.. Trying hard to be a full time student.. But Mobtv is doing him a great disfavor.. He simply love lazing at home watching tv programmes and munching on all the cny goodies when the whole family is asleep..

Festive mood is in the air.. My Malay neighbour just bought us cartons of mandarin oranges and Cokes.. Baked for us pineapple tarts, honey cereal and a huge choc brownies.. So happy!! Thou the neighbours seldom talk.. But we still share the festive joy with one another during the holiday season.. Had dinner with daddy and younger bro at Compasspoint yesterday.. We had our 1st Yu Sheng together @ the Soup Restaurant.. Yummy!! This is YQ's all-time favourite dish for CNY.. After e hearty meal, dad wanted to get himself a "long sleeve t-shirt".. For the past few years, it's either mum or my bro who bought polo tees for him.. But he told us that he wanted to wear a long sleeve t-shirt.. I was like: "huh? hahaha.. Long sleeve t-shirt?" Daddy wanna go bossini, giordano etc to search for his "tee".. So we tagged along and look for his shirt.. He couldn't find any suitable shirt and at Giordano, i spotted a long sleeve polo tee.. muahaha... Damn ugly.. But i still showed dad and asked him to try at e fitting room.. He looks happy when he saw the tee.. But when he wore it, the 1st word that came out of his mouth is what we expected.. "Looks like china guy eh.." hahaha..

We luffed like mad..

In the end we asked him to try out a few pieces of long sleeve shirt at Metro and he like it.. Handsome eh.. hahahas.. So brought him over to G2000 and he like those shirts even more.. He got himself a nice checkered shirt.. We discovered that dad has a bad habit.. He dun like to lock his door when he's inside the changing room.. I have to stand outside his door!! hahaa.. We wondered if he lock his door when he's inside public toilet.. LOLX.. Followed mum and younger sister to NTUC @ Rivervale Mall at midnight.. Shopped till 1+am and we spent over $300+.. That's Chinese New Year.. Two more days to Chinese New Year 2008!! Hurray!!

Today, i went to Zara @ Orchard Road for my sneaker after class.. Out of stock!! Only Vivocity has my size.. So i headed down to habourfront @ 5.30pm having to rush for my eyesbrow trimming appointment at 6.45pm.. Cannot be late as my appointment was supposed to be around 5/6pm.. The so-called "beauty therapist" told me that she closes at 6pm but she can wait for me.. Amazingly, i reached at 6.30pm and she started plucking out YQ's eyesbrow.. It's painful eh.. But the worse has yet to come.. Feeling pai seh to let her wait for me, i agree to do facial after shaping my eyesbrow.. Yes.. It's FACIAL.. hhahaa.. She is giving me a nice discount for both the eyesbrow and facial.. Total cost: $32 for the 1.5 hrs.. It's time to pamper myself by clearing away the "black heads & oily pores".. She "steamed" my face.. Cleared the unwanted pores and applied facemask on me.. So exciting and fun but it's damn freaking painful.. Can cry loh.. But i didn't// =X... hahaha.. I think i like it.. Not the process, but the result.. Let me know if anyone is interested.. She provides many more beauty services for the ladies..

It's gonna be 8.30am lesson again tomolo.. Followed by 4 hrs of work in the noon.. Night time is tennis session at Daphne hse.. Dunno if she'll put us aeroplane anot.. hehe.. But i'll be out from 7am to 11pm.. Long long day tml.. Shall go to bed soon..

The hairdresser trimmed my hair for less than 5 mins..

He coloured his hair for the first time in 22 years..

A slightly soft bronze will do for his 1st attempt..

Tennis and poly meeting..

Woke up from my long "nap" not long ago only to realise that i was actually quite exhausted over the past few days due to the lack of quality sleep.. Friday morning was a 9am tennis session with Andy and PX under the big hot sun.. Had the yummy satay beehoon at e newly renovated Amk central food market with Andy where i saw Freddie.. He was there with his colleagues and he just simply happened to "spot" the unoccupied seats beside us.. Such a coincidence right.. Had our lunch at the packed hawker centre where there are lots of food.. We used to had our lunch at the old food market during our poly life where we can find plenty of goodies food.. hahs.. Went home for a very very short nap to compensate the 5 hrs of sleep on the previous night.. The weather is really warm recently.. Can even feel as if i'm sweating while asleep.. Boo..

As usual, YQ is forever late for his appointments.. He could only watched a short period of the Australian Open semi-final "live" tennis actions between Roger Federer v.s. Novak Djokovic.. Both of them are so freaking cool with their excellent display of tennis action.. Woohoo.. The better man for the day won by 3 sets to nil.. Simply an amazing feat to have beaten the World no. 1 with a 3-0 victory.. The loss brings to an end a streak of 10 consecutive Grand Slam finals appearances for Federer and it was his first loss in straight sets at a Grand Slam since 2004.. Wow.. Look at the amazing records of RF.. Ahhh.. Both of them are great.. hahs..

Headed down to meet the NYP ppls at Marina Square for Pasta de Waraku.. That was really the gathering for most of the polymates from year 1-3 this time round... Ice, Sharene, Jin, Joyce, Eve, Daphne, Ai shan and Thaddeus.. Ages since the big group gathered together.. It's nice to see everyone doing well and we went over to a cafe at Esplanade after our dinner.. The meals at Waraku has yet to disappoint me so far and once again, their service is excellent (except for the front queue).. Thumb up for the dinner and to the coordinater for yesterday.. Ah Jin!... hahaha..

This morning, YQ woke up early in the morning too.. Same tennis routine, but with Rachel, Meijie and Aldrick.. We finally get to play tennis together!! Nice session with them except for the forever big big Sun.. But it's ok.. The 2 empty courts are good.. We can play as much as we wanted.. As for lunch, Aldrick rode his motorbike.. The two girls took the train and I cycled alone from Admiralty to Causeway point under the hot burning weather.. Can faint loh// Thou short distance, the Meijie's bicycle is a real challenge.. Can get heat stroke with the heavy bicycle.. hahas.. Ichibans Sushi is good.. Love eating fresh tasty salmon sashimi.. The swordfish sashimi is good too.. keke..

Hanged out together at the shopping mall for an hour before proceeding home.. Was supposed to meet the girls at Esplanade for some "live" musical performances in the evening.. But the outing was postponed.. And so... YQ got to sleep and sleep from 6pm till 10pm.. hahaas.. How am i to get myself to bed later? Craving for something that's sweet, milky and cold.. Baileys on the rock, anyone?

Ald's Birthday

So nice and lovely eh..

Was all geared up for a tennis session with Aldrick, Rachel and Meijie on Thursday evening.. Rushed down after work to Admiralty to meet up with them.. Tot i was quite late, but they are even more "powerful" eh.. The venue was at the condominium of Ald's elder bro house.. The tennis court looks so well maintenced.. We still need to inform the security guard to unlock the gate.. By the time we reached the tennis court, the weather wasn't nice to us at all.. Lightning up in the sky.. Raindrops preparing to come down on our head at any moments.. By the time we took out the tennis balls, the rain came down heavily.. Gosh!!! Saddening.. We ran for our life.. Oppxs.. Nope.. It's 4 homeless kids running for shelter.. In the end, it's Aldrick's bro who saved us.. We ended up taking "refuge" at his house instead.. Our initial intention was to celebrate Aldrick's upcoming birthday after our game.. But since the rain came, we ordered Canadian pizzas and watched The Golden Path inside the condo.. Instead of exercising and sweating it out on the court, we ate and ate.. Two huge pizza plus the 1.5 litre of Pepsi, chicken wings and the brownies.. Oohh.. Luckily i'm so slim.. Shld eat more!! Anyway tat was a kinda fun day.. We shall resume our tennis session soon.. Not eating and hiding from the rain anymore..

And on friday night, we were suppose to meet up for badminton session at Amk.. Booked the court long ago, but since Rachel isn't feeling well, we cancelled the session.. Guess the group who booked the court before us got to enjoy an extra 2 hours of badminton session.. ha.. Tot i can enjoy my favourite drama "The golden path" at home.. But i didn't.. I headed downstair for a game of football at the basketball court instead.. The show is getting real interesting as the grand finale will be on Monday.. Jin long is such a poor chap.. That Kaijie is a super baddie.. Dun let me see him in the street!! Whack him eh.. LOLx...

So what have i been doing since friday night? I found a software called VeohTv.. There's ppl who uploaded "The Golden Path" onto it.. hahaa! Happy like fcuk.. Watched all those episode which i missed in the past.. And when i woke up this morning, my bro was viewing Mobtv!! Ha.. Even better.. Coz YQ watched the sneak preview of the final epidsode!! Muahahaa.. Nice nice show.. But this signal the end of a nice drama.. I shall not be addicted to any new drama from now on.. Examination is coming!! Start studying please..

An hour past midnight, we had Burger King's breakfast for supper at Terminal Two of Singapore Changi Airport.. They are serving breakfast meal at that time.. Croissan'wich and Omelet sandwich plus all the hash browns and onion rings..

There's Burger Kings and Mcdonalds at the airport.. But we couldn't see any KFCs around.. Why? Coz there's another fast food chain.. Popeyes' Chicken & Biscuits.. I'm a mountain tortoise eh.. haha.. Didn't heard of this fast-food before until they told me about it today.. Popeyes is selling fried chicken too.. Too bad my bad bad cough still persist, if not i will surely try out them out.. We shall go back to the airport some other day.. keke..

Terminal 3 is spacious and the architectural design is nicely done.. Plenty of glass wall and the building creates a nice soothing ambience.. Looks so classy eh.. Make us feel like going for a vacation.. Therefore, we have decided to plan a trip to Taiwan after our May's examination.. Hurray!! In the meantime, we should study hard for our examination and earn more dollars.. Strolled through the whole Changi airport.. From T3 to T1.. Both T3 and T2 were pretty empty.. But T1 was crowded with people at both the departure and arrival hall.. The skytrains were empty at midnight.. hahs! Only the three of us inside.. Pretty slack for us to slack at the airport in the late hours.. The aircon is so freezing cold when the airport is empty.. 22.1 degree Celsius at T3.. We were freezing ourselves..

YQ is here wishing everyone a

~~Joyous New Year~~

Happy happy new year!! On the very first day of Year 2008, YQ woke up with the feeling of being totally surrounded by pints of Heineken beer and E Thirty-Three bottles.. Horrendous feeling.. All thanks to the 1-1 drinks @ Zouk.. Hehe.. Nevertheless, the music at Zouk was excellent and he has had a great night welcoming the new year in the companies of Jin, Pengxiong, Freddie, Helen and friends!! 1st time partying with Freddie, Helen & co and the group is fantastically fun-loving.. Totally overwhelmed by the good music and the company of the people.. :) Pictures of YQ with braces to be uploaded soon.. My ugly-looking braces!! hahaha... =/

In the Year 2008, YQ truely hope for world peace and lesser global warming.. Guess mankind is starting to feel the devastating impact of climate changes in the recent years.. S'pore may not be hugely affected yet, but remember the "floods" and the uprooting of trees during the monsoon season? Scary isn't it? The rest of the world are encounting much disastrous climatic changes.. Pray hard as we all belong to the same planet, Earth.. No more terrorist attacks & suicide bombing please... Peace to the world..

To my family and all my friends, i hope everyone will have a prosperous year 2008 ahead.. Stay healthy as always and be happy throughout the whole year.. May everything be smooth and steady at work and best of luck in the studies.. =)

Year 2007 isn't the best of year for me.. I should definitely try to enhance myself in this new chapter.. New year, new begining.. To overcome the shortcomings and try to improve on the positive aspects of life.. Most importantly: "YQ, please study well for the upcoming examinations!! Consistant work is required for good grades.. You're running out of time.. Please keep that in mind.. Do not laze around anymore!!"

Studies shall be the main priority for year 2008.. Hopefully some nice part-time jobs will come knocking on my door after my examinations.. Need to do some serious money savings and hopefully, a well-deserved holiday trip towards the end of the new year.. I will be hitting age 23 in year 2008.. haha.. fast!!! Looking forward to attending whatever parties that's available.. And if given the financial resources, i do hope to hold a delightful gathering party for my friends and family in the month of October.. Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard to score plenty of goals for Liverpool FC and hopefully, they can do well in the EPL for this season.. May Valencia FC end their terrible form as YQ is expecting them to win the Spanish Primera League this season!! Formula 1 is coming to town!!! When will Singapore hold an ATP tournament?? hee.. CNY is coming real soon~~~ Cheers people!! :)
